Fakse Hostel 2003

Description

Fakse Hostel is not an ordinary hostel. The hostel is a permanently protected working place for six mentally retarded people. In addition it is a functional competence training place for another twelve mentally deficient persons, who all work and educate themselves according to the plan that was detailed in their employment contracts.

When Fakse Hostel was faced with threat of closure, a miracle occurred. Through four programmes we follow the series’ two main characters: Cleaning assistant Jesper Kragsfelt and waiter and kitchen assistant Martin Riis. Jesper’s ambition is to become the hostel receptionist, but he suffers from a brain damage and has to accept that his handicap counteracts his ambitions. Martin is hearing voices commanding him to smash glasses and plates, making it difficult for him to become
a waiter.
