Queen Of Hearts is a documentary about the first female chairman of the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions. The film follows her on the long and tough road to the position as chairman. We follow her through the power-battles and see her overcome an organisation filled with male-chauvinism.
But it’s also a film about a woman that has to save a sinking ship and convince the people, that the values of a union, are still relevant today.
Unity and solidarity
It has always been old men with fat bellies, sitting at the end of the table in LO, but not anymore – Lizette Risgaard, Queen of hearts, the lady always wearing red has taken the chairman position.
