Denmark is amongst one of the happiest nations in the world, but still a growing number of children suffer from anxiety.
Around 60.000 – 100.000 children between the age of 7 – 17 suffer from anxiety. In some cases to such an extent that they’re too scared to go to school and their parents have to keep them at home. A world where the children live with a constant freight of losing their parents.
Even more children and parents know the anxiety connected to camping trips, sleeping at a friends place or other things that makes the everyday life more difficult that it has to be.
In this series we’ll get to know three families that all are fighting to put an end to the anxiety. We are present in their homes and in their everyday lives when the anxiety kicks in and sets limits to their behaviour. In some cases to such an extent that families are destroyed.
We’ll join the families in their fight with the anxiety and how they try to deal with it through a professional guided 8 weeks course.
